The Starrett Intenss PRO ST Wide Set blade is manufactured using the same high-quality Bi-Metal material and unique tooth geometry as our renowned Bi-Metal bandsaw blade range. This blade allows for faster cutting and longer blade life when cutting single and bundled profiles.
Designed for heavy-duty cutting on structural and profile steel applications, the Starrett Intenss PRO ST Wide Set blade addresses the issue of "pinching." This occurs when stress in the material being cut causes it to close on the blade, making it impossible to continue cutting and jamming the blade in the cut. The setting process used to produce this blade is adapted (with changes depending on the width and tooth pitch) to ensure a wider kerf (the material removed every time the blade passes through the steel). This wider kerf allows the blade to achieve a clean, constant cut through the material without being pinched.
Applications for the Starrett Intenss PRO ST Wide Set blade include all types of steel in profile and structural formats with heavy gauge walls in both large bundles and single layouts. It is ideal for use on production cutting machines, including drill, and cut machines. Moreover, the Starrett Intenss PRO ST Wide Set blade can be used with both gravitational and hydraulic types of bandsaw machines.
